Discover The Canteen, a community café nestled away from Southwold’s bustling high-street. Just a 5-minute walk from the High Street and Pier, you’ll find us tucked behind St. Edmund’s church, within the Old Hospital Hub.

ALL-DAY BRUNCH
Served 9am - 2pm
Start the day right with our specialty coffee from Butterworth & Son, single variety juice from Moat Farm or a decadent hot chocolate from Darkroom Norwich.
Our all-day brunch menu is full of quality, house-made and locally-sourced food, including fresh sourdough from Filo & Twine and house-made preserves, fruit compotes and baked beans!
LUNCH SPECIALS
Served 12pm - 2pm
Our lunch specials change daily, with a focus on using high-quality, locally-sourced and allotment-grown ingredients. Featured on BBC Rick Stein's Food Stories, our Canteen Savoury Tart is our staple lunch special, served with salad & parmesan.

CAKES & DESSERTS
ALL-DAY, EVERY DAY
At the Canteen, you'll find a counter full of freshly-baked goods each day- cheese scones, cookies, sausage rolls, and of course, delicious house-made cakes and tarts.
You'll be spoiled for choice with daily dessert specials such as fruity frangipane tarts, light meringues topped with berries and cream, or warm crumbles with custard - so always save room for dessert!
SUPPER CLUB WITH ROSIE SYKES
Eat the seasons at our Supper Clubs in June, September and December! Each curated menu is celebration of the bountiful fruits, vegetables and flavours of each season.
Summer - Friday 26th June, 6:30pm

Tickets are £49 per person, inclusive of a welcome drink and three-course meal.
